Key Responsibilities

As a Driller, you will be responsible for:

• Operating drilling rigs and associated machinery to extract core samples, groundwater, or to establish foundations.
• Interpreting drilling plans, specifications, and guidelines to execute operations efficiently.
• Monitoring and maintaining equipment to ensure safe and optimal performance.
• Conducting prestart checks and adhering to strict safety protocols during operations.
• Supervising and guiding drilling crew members to ensure productivity and compliance with project timelines.
• Identifying and resolving technical issues during drilling operations.
• Preparing and maintaining accurate reports and logs of drilling activities.

Requirements

• To be successful in this role, you should have:
• Minimum two years of proven experience as a Driller in construction, mining, or geotechnical projects.
• Competency in operating drilling rigs and associated tools.
• Knowledge of drilling techniques and equipment maintenance.
• Familiarity with workplace safety regulations and ability to adhere to safety standards.
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to adapt to dynamic work environments.
• Effective communication and team management abilities.
• A valid driver’s license (essential).
• Relevant certifications in drilling or construction (preferred but not mandatory).
