Our fully-remote staff includes campaign strategists, writers, editors, and designers organized into industry-specific teams who produce conversion-focused, thought-leadership content. We are seeking electrical engineering writers with a particular interest in printed circuit board engineering, design, and manufacturing who are also well-rounded researchers with impeccable writing skills. These writers are able to turn complex subject matters into thought leadership articles for the electrical engineering and manufacturing community that also appeal to the general public. They put in the effort to understand the needs of their audience to produce branded solutions based on our client’s requirements. The writers are self-motivated, deadline-driven team players who maintain high standards with a passion for writing.

Salary & Benefits:

This is a full-time telecommuting position with a starting salary range of $65,000 to $68,000 annually. Benefits include:

• 2 weeks of paid time off

Ideal candidates are industry professionals in electronic systems development and seasoned writers with practical experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Integrated Circuit design
• Circuit Simulation
• Schematic capture
• PCB layout
• Design analysis
• PCB fabrication
• PCB assembly
• PCB testing

Qualifications:

• Technical writing experience, including data sheets, reports, or white papers, with a proven track record of independent research and content development.
• Electronic technician or Engineering degree and/or experience, ideally in electrical engineering, computer science, or mechanical engineering.
• Industry experience in circuit board design, schematic capture, PCB layout, testing, or manufacturing.
• Punctuality, professionalism, and excellent time management skills.
• A reliable internet connection and computer.
• Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong background in electronic theory and practical application
• Remote experience
• Familiarity with industry tools used in the design of ICs, schematics, and PCBs

Duties:

• Write well-researched, scientifically accurate, engaging, and insightful articles for web publication.
• Work collaboratively with your managing editor to ensure every deliverable meets our high editorial standards and is perfected ahead of its due date.
• Research your client’s industry and business needs to generate high-value keywords and topics.
• Go beyond the basics: identify new opportunities for research and development and share ideas with your industry team to add progressive value to each account.
• Provide technical review and QA on articles in your area of expertise.
• Prepare for and participate in client meetings.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Required fluency to read, speak, and type English
• Required to attend & participate in regular online video meetings
• Required to utilize FPS online systems and tools for 8 hours per day
• A dedicated workspace is preferred though not required
• Required to structure environment conducive to productivity
• Required to have consistent access to a computer, webcam, and microphone during working hours
