About the roleMater Private Hospital Mackay has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the High Dependency Unit. This is a permanent part-time role, working 36 hours per week.The Mater Private Hospital Mackay has been providing excellence in clinical and pastoral care to the people of Mackay and its surrounds since 1927. Our hospital is a modern 105-bed facility featuring five operating theatres, a fully equipped day surgery unit, and a wide range of specialist clinical services.Salary range: $40.27 – $51.74 per hour (RN1) plus superannuation and access to generous salary packaging of up to $15900 per annum.What you’ll be doingRegistered Nurses provide evidence-based and contemporary patient-centred clinical care in collaboration with other multidisciplinary healthcare team members. The delivery of care extends to patient advocacy with particular consideration to patients’ physical, emotional and spiritual needs that contribute to optimal clinical outcomes.Registered Nurses are responsible for ensuring safe and efficient care management within the scope of practice and professional guidelines. Still, they may not be limited to legislation, regulations, standards, codes, qualifications, registration, and clinical competencies.About youYou will enjoy working in a busy and rewarding environment where you can become part of a team of professionals who take pride in providing the highest levels of patient care.To be successful in this position, you will have the following:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions
  • Proficient ECG and Cardiac arrhythmia interpretation skills
  • Able to care for patients with Non-Invasive Ventilation/Airvo required, with Invasive Ventilation skills competency preferable.
  • Current IV Cannulation competency
  • Digital and computer proficiency, extending to Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Minimum of one-year post graduate experience
  • Australian Citizenship, permanent residency, a current work Visa with no restrictions or an applicable ANMAC occupational code if seeking Visa sponsorship.
