Marketing Data Analyst
Imagine this: millions of people around the world are planning trips, dreaming about their next getaway. And guess who’s helping them find the perfect place to stay at the best price? We are — trivago.
We’ve built one of the world’s fastest hotel comparison platforms, using smart tech, data, and a lot of heart. But none of it works without sharp minds behind the scenes. That’s where you come in.
We’re on the lookout for a Marketing Data Analyst who loves data, enjoys solving real-world challenges, and wants to make a meaningful impact. If turning numbers into insights is your thing, and you’re excited about working in a team that values learning and creativity — let’s talk.
What This Role Is All About
As a Marketing Data Analyst at trivago, you’ll dive deep into the numbers that power our marketing strategy. You’ll help us figure out what’s working, what’s not, and where we should head next.
Your work will support teams across the business — from campaign managers to product leads — giving them the insights they need to make smart, data-driven decisions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Analyze marketing performance data and turn it into clear, actionable insights.
- Build reports and dashboards that actually make life easier for your teammates.
- Work closely with marketers, engineers, and analysts on key projects.
- Track the health of marketing KPIs and constantly look for ways to improve them.
- Run experiments, test new ideas, and help shape the future of our marketing strategy.
- Present your findings in a way that makes sense to both tech-savvy folks and non-technical teams.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years working with data, ideally in a marketing or digital product environment.
- You’ve got solid SQL skills and experience with tools like Looker, Tableau, or similar.
- A degree in something analytical (e.g. Stats, Math, Computer Science, Physics).
- You understand the ins and outs of marketing performance metrics.
- You can handle fast-paced work, juggle priorities, and stay organized without breaking a sweat.
- You’re great at telling stories with data — clear, engaging, and easy to understand.
Bonus Points If…
- You know your way around Python or R.
- You’ve done A/B testing, geo testing, or other experimentation methods.
- You’ve used BigQuery or similar big data platforms.
- You’re a curious thinker who’s always looking to learn and improve.
Why You’ll Love Working With Us
- A relaxed, flexible work environment with hybrid options and 20 remote work days abroad per year.
- We offer real learning opportunities — from workshops and conferences to personal coaching and training.
- Support with relocation and visa processes if you’re moving to Düsseldorf.
- Free language courses and a great campus culture (yes, with free snacks, gym access, and more).
- Regular team events, fun social gatherings, and a great community vibe.
- You’ll be part of a company that’s growing fast, loves a good challenge, and is full of people who genuinely enjoy what they do.
