Verterra is planned for approximately 483 homesites and a Club that will become the hub of life here.

Where: Located in Bonney Lake, a picturesque drive south from Seattle, Washington

Pay: $55,000 – $60,000 Annual

Benefits:

New management full-time team members working 30 hours or more per week, will be eligible for the Company medical, dental and life insurance plans the first of the month following the first day of full-time employment.

Full-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Time Off (“PTO”) in accordance with the Company policy at a rate of 120 hours per year.

Full-Time team members are eligible for 7 paid holidays annually.

All team members 21 years and older are eligible to participate in the J.F. Shea Co., Inc. 401(k) plan after completion of 60 days of service.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Lifestyle Manager assists the team achieving the most critical goal; bringing the community to life through events, programming and communication. To do this, the Lifestyle Manager supports the Lifestyle in working directly with all departments of the Club, developing activities that support a healthy, happy, fulfilled lifestyle. Primary responsibility is to work with our Member Led Clubs and all that entails. Based on the events and activities that may be taking place, must be have a flexible schedule which includes evenings and weekends, when needed.

The Lifestyle Manager must be able to deploy a wide variety of stills, including personality, copywriting, web content management, email/text/alert deployment, team players and more.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf (BSRG) to support the achievement of company goals.
  • Work directly to maintain the accuracy of the communication platform for the Members. Copywriting and content creation a must. Update the member website, My Trilogy Life daily to maintain all community activity and event information.
  • Working directly with all Member-Led Clubs creating an annual calendar of events for each club, reserving meeting space, assisting with their event planning and sharing these details with the Club team to execute event details and room set-ups.
  • Create a comprehensive member program that includes monthly activities and events for recreation, enrichment, creative expression, adventure and travel. Events will be held on-site and off-site.
  • In addition to local programming, support all national programming through communication, promotion and participation.
  • Host Club events and activities, and conduct satisfaction surveys for all events as required.
  • Support strategic partnerships with the Shea Community Representatives to share information and create engaging lifestyle events to showcase the Trilogy lifestyle and attract new buyers.
  • Create an environment of open communication to Members to share ideas.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Experience in event planning and budgeting preferred.
  • Background in hospitality industry and or travel industry a plus.
  • Experience working in a Homeowners Association (HOA) preferred.
  • Current First Aid, CPR/AED certification, and other safety certifications, as required by the Club.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members.
  • Must have excellent analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to respond to the needs and requests of staff members, guests, and the community association.
  • Must have strategic planning, change management, problem-solving, decision-making, delegation, time management, supervisory and employee development skills.
  • Must demonstrate initiative, with an ability to think, work, solve practical problems, and make independent decisions based on sound judgment.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected.
  • This position requires a flexible schedule, to include evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position generally operates in a professional indoor office environment, but may have some exposure to outdoor weather conditions, and occasionally native wildlife, when on the grounds of the facility or attending outdoor events. There is routine use of standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copy and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear; sit, stand and walk (occasionally for an extended period), use hands to fingers, handle or feel, bend, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

TRAVEL:

This position may require up to 20% travel. The Lifestyle Manager regularly travels locally to attend activities and events, with occasional overnight travel.
