We are looking for people ready to share, build, and grow with our company.Reporting to the Manager, Stakeholder Relations, the Graphic Designer works collaboratively on various internal and external communications-related initiatives driven by various departments who require support in producing materials such as posters, brochures, presentations, internal health and safety manuals, and job training manualsMain Accountabilities1. Applies artistic abilities and knowledge of graphic design and illustration to support various internal and external communications requirements related to the sharing of information on various topics including environmental, socio-economics, training, and health and safety.
2. Supports the development of various materials consisting of infographics, presentation slides and other information requiring a visual component in order to provide alternative ways for presentation information on the relevant topics related to Baffinland operations. This may include infographics related to the IIBA, environmental and socio-economical data during annual reporting efforts associated with the Nunavut Impact Review Board, and Nunavut Water Board, Working Group meetings (marine, terrestrial, socioeconomic), training materials, dissemination of information during community open houses, etc.
3. In collaboration with the department, develops relevant and technically sound infographics to enhance information sharing by Baffinland with Inuit and other stakeholders.
4. Obtains input on whether images/infographics are clear and easily interpretable by interacting with community members and organizations.
5. Maintains brand standards across company materials.

- High School Diploma
- College Diploma is an asset. Attend at least 1 year at programs such as Nunavut Sivuniksavut
- Graphic Design Diploma an asset
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience using computers/other technology to create infographics for various clients on various topics
- Experience in using illustration software such as Adobe Illustrator, ProCreate, InDesign, Photoshop, Canva
- Strong creative ability such as drawing and creating visuals
- Excellent eye for design and visual quality
- Ability to work independently, and also collaboratively with various personnel in order to ensure alignment and suitable data acquisition/interpretation.
- Ability to speak, read and write in English
- Ability to use standard computer office software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
- Familiar with computer illustration software.
