Farm Coordinator (Harvest/Operations) Job Details:
We’re on the lookout for two Farm Coordinators who will lead across our Harvest and Operations departments at our Blueberry farm in Atherton, FNQ.

About the Role
Your Daily Adventures…
Block Picking Plan Development:
- Assist the line manager in creating and maintaining a block picking plan, related to the harvesting of Blueberry fruit.
- Assist the Harvest Manager in establishing and maintaining the required number of crews based on fruit volumes and picking plans.
Harvest Supervision Support:
- Collaborate with the Harvest Manager to supervise the Harvest Support team.
- Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement as needed.
- Act as a point of contact for queries from Field Harvest Supervisors and Crews.
- Aid Field Supervisors in planning and executing tasks related to the harvest, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to quality management systems and completion of relevant paperwork.
Projection and Monitoring:
- Contribute to the production of accurate projections for daily, weekly, and longer-term fruit yield.
- Provide accurate figures on picking rates to facilitate effective monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Resource Management:
- Ensure appropriate resources (both personnel and equipment) are available for harvest crews.
- Develop short-term people and equipment resourcing plans.
Operational Coordination:
- Support the operations manager in coordinating all operational farm activities related to harvesting.
Budget and KPI Awareness:
- Maintain awareness of departmental budgets and performance against budget.
- Monitor departmental KPIs and work towards driving down costs and improving overall performance.
Feedback to Horticultural Team:
- Support the Harvest Manager in providing detailed feedback to the Horticultural team regarding blocks, varieties, and trials, with the aim of improving crop performance.
Ad Hoc Operational Duties:
- Perform other duties related to operations, as required or requested by the Harvest Manager.
About You
- Experience: Basic experience of coordinating the work of others (4 to 6 months). Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems (7 to 12 months)
- Qualifications: You will need to drive to between locations on the farm so a current driver’s license is essential.
- Skill Set: Excellent at managing deadlines, accurate data entry, and proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
- Collaborative Spirit: Work seamlessly within a team and communicate effectively across diverse backgrounds.
