This is a full time term position, working 75 hours biweekly, until August 29, 2025.
Temporary assignments may also be considered.

The Agriculture Branch is responsible for implementing the Agriculture Policy, legislation and agricultural programming to support and develop the production, processing, and marketing of food, fodder, and fibre grown in the Yukon and thus increase food grown in Yukon.
This position is responsible for providing farm development advice, delivering livestock programs, and project and contract management along with enforcement and extension services to the agriculture and agri-food sector. This includes conducting inspections and providing a compliance and enforcement function. This a key position in the Agricultural Branch as the livestock sector and agriculture sectors continue to grow in Yukon.

- Diploma in Agriculture, Resource Management, Business or related field
- Experience interpreting resource legislation and regulations
- Experience engaging with multi-stakeholder working groups/committees, including government, First Nations and the general public
- Experience reading and interpreting maps
- Experience conducting site inspections and following up on compliance issues
- Program and/or policy development would be considered an asset
- Project and/or contract management would be considered an asset
Candidates who have a combination of education, training and experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
Desired Skills, Knowledge and Suitability
We are looking for an individual who has well developed interpersonal skills, good oral and written communications skills, the ability to work collaboratively to resolve conflicts and build consensus, to meet critical deadlines, and to act independently as well as part of a team. This person should be able to understand and interpret regulations and policies, have an awareness of the local political environment and Yukon geography, and have the ability to work in a client service oriented environment.
Conditions of Employment: Valid Yukon Class 5 driver’s licence and Pre-Employment Medical Clearance
