Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Superintendent, you will be part of the Recruitment Department and collaborate with other Canadian divisions. You will play a key role in developing attraction strategies and pipeline for the organization’s future hiring needs using their relationship-building, social media, and technology skills to impact the company’s success. This position involves periods of travelling for recruitment events, mainly in Quebec and Ontario, followed by periods focusing on project management.

  • Promote participation of company representatives at upcoming recruiting events on social media and engage with event attendees before, during and after events;
  • Proactively seeking for new opportunities to collaborate and create valuable opportunities with schools and other internal partners;
  • Responsible to manage and maintain a detailed event calendars and coordinate proactively the registration, logistics of all material, finding participants and collect post-event information for future reference;
  • Liaise with Ontario and Quebec divisions to coordinate common initiatives and participate in various professional events and fairs, campus career fairs, and employer information sessions;
  • Work in collaboration with communications team to support the implementation and growth of the Agnico Eagle employer brand and recruitment marketing materials (campaigns, presentations, videos, job descriptions, etc.);
  • Develop opportunities and strategies for attracting more individuals to Agnico Eagle Mines by staying up to date on trends;
  • Optimize and improve student recruitment strategy considering multi-divisional complexity;
  • Provide input and implement a variety of diversity & inclusion attraction initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or Industrial Relations, or equivalent;
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar recruitment, Human Resources or talent engagement role;
  • Project management experience is essential;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Proficiency in the use of the English and French language as you will be working in collaboration with all Canadian Agnico Eagle groups where French or English is the primary language.
  • Have a good understanding and be comfortable with various social media platforms;
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholders management skills and ability to work in a team;
  • Ability to travel for recruitment events across Canada, as well as to various mines sites as required;
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

Note that the official working language at our Nunavut operations is English.

Your Work Schedule:

  • Schedule: 5 days of work, followed by 2 days for rest; a combination of tele-working with presence at our offices in either Val d’Or, Rouyn-Noranda, Preissac, Timmins, Cochrane, Mirabel, or Toronto. Occasional visits to site may also be required. Possibility of 5-2-4-3 schedule.
