DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position is part of the maintenance crew at French Creek Complex, headquarters at Marsh Creek. An employee in this position performs various types of general maintenance jobs, which require lifting and moving heavy objects. Duties include mowing or cutting weeds or grass, using a riding mower, hand mower, or weed eater, picking up litter and trash, loading and moving materials in dump trucks or pick up trucks, and cleaning fire rings and grills. In addition, the employee is also responsible for general housekeeping and building maintenance by cleaning and supplying restrooms, pit latrines, offices, family cabins and all other buildings.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time seasonal employment with no benefits.
  • This position is located at 675 Park Road, Downingtown PA, 19335. This is at Marsh Creek State Park. This position does NOT report to French Creek State Park.
  • Work schedule varies, will work 5 out of 7 days per week.
  • May be required to work weekends and holidays.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
