Seize the opportunity to become a part of our team at William Adams, taking on the pivotal role of Receptionist/Branch Administrator at our Burnie branch. With direct reporting to the Branch Manager, this position entails a full-time fixed-term contract lasting 12 months, providing coverage for maternity leave.


In this dynamic role, you will be the face of our entire team at Burnie, managing the front of house operation and customer experience. You will play an important role in the coordination and execution of operational and administrative functions to ensure smooth operations across our entire business.

Your key responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Responding to all incoming telephone calls both internally and externally
  • Providing administrative support to the Burnie Operations, Sales, Parts and Service departments
  • Providing a high-level of organisational support
  • Managing petty cash, ordering uniforms, collecting and distributing mail


You will understand and appreciate the importance of exceptional customer service and have a strong eye for detail. You are a naturally positive and engaging communicator and enjoy collaborating at all levels.

To be considered for this role you will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced computer and solid data entry skills
  • Confident telephone manner with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and problem solve logically
  • Ability to balance our operation constraints with the needs of our customers in a positive and efficient manner
  • Be engaging and professional with an ability to follow instructions
  • Self-motivated, reliant and a proven team player
