  • Recent experience providing pre-hospital emergency and non-emergency medical treatment and transportation.

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.It may be helpful for you to reviewDesired knowledge, skills and suitabilityn, the following:

  • Ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy.
  • Patient advocacy
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Conflict management skills
  • Experience working with allied agencies (e.g., Police, Fire, Health Care Professionals)

Conditions of employmentvalid ( COPR certificate will be considered as equivalent at time hire, but will have one year to obtain license in southern jurisdiction),medical clearance; RCMP check with vulnerable sector check; and class 4 Yukon driver’s license (or equivalent)Job requirementsThis job requires you to perform, and/or be exposed to, the following:exposure to high stress, sensitive situations, verbally and physically aggressive behaviour; working in awkward positions indoors and outdoors in all weather; lifting and transferring patients with assistance. ability to lift to 50 lbs.Learn more
