FLAVORING GRINDING OPERATOR

This position will meet Wholesale roasted coffee needs by operating flavoring and grinding equipment and working closely with the rest of the Production staff on a daily basis. This is a full-time position, working five days per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Informs appropriate manufacturing employees and supervisor of machine performance irregularities to minimize the impact of production downtime.

Minimizes production scrap, including materials and coffee products.

Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment. Operates flavor and grinding equipment with safety guards and switches in place, and follows all safety procedures and regulations.

Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

Monitors and documents flavoring and grinding quality using analytical tools.

Participates in process improvement activities. Maintains scheduled throughput to meet team goals for reliability and budget standards. Maintain the Mixer and Grinder by ensuring all daily and weekly PM’s and sanitation are completed.

Willingness to champion other activities as requested by operations, engineers and Cameron’s leaders.

Employees are responsible for maintaining an awareness of workplace safety and maintaining an awareness of training or education that will assist them in improving needed areas of their present job performance.

Giving and providing guidance to downstream packaging personnel.

Ensure that the product meets all SQF GMP and HACCP standards.

Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

SKILLS NEEDED

Basic knowledge of the English language, verbal and written

Basic math skills

Basic data entry capabilities

Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills

Must be able to work independently

Concentration and focus while doing a repetitive job

Ability to listen, learn and act accordingly

Willingness to learn from mistakes to grow and enhance skills

Ability to manage and prioritize daily and weekly tasks

Demonstrated problem solving skills

Basic technical aptitude and/or willingness to learn equipment details

USE OF POWERED INDUSTRIAL TRUCK (PIT) VEHICLES

Employees in this role utilize PIT vehicles in their day-to-day activity to safely transport loads up to 2000 lbs. within the factory and/or warehouse environment. Certification to each vehicle type is required as outlined in the Cameron’s Coffee Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Safety Program. The following PIT vehicle certifications are required for this role:

Electric Pallet Jack

Floor Scrubber

Silo Cart Caddy

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: This role will report to the Production Supervisor.

LOCATION: Corporate Headquarters located in Shakopee, MN.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level is high. Ear protection is provided.

Roasting machines and the environment in which roasting happens can get warm. Proper dress should be considered.

This position requires the use of a respirator.

The position will be five days per week M-F.

M-F 2pm-10pm
