An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Remote Area Healthcare team in Coral Bay.

This recruitment is for a Fixed Term appointment ending 2nd February 2025, at 48 hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

About the OPPORTUNITY

Responsible for the provision and coordination of primary health care to the Coral Bay community. Includes the provision of Nursing Services encompassing emergency care, chronic disease management, child health, immunisation, health promotion, and education. Required to undertake duties at Gascoyne Health sites as required.

To be successful, you will have…

  • Triage (mandatory)
  • ALS and PALS (mandatory)
  • REC (preferable or planning on attaining)
  • MEC (preferable or planning on attaining)
  • Pharmacotherapeutics (preferable or planning on attaining)
  • Immunisation Certification
  • Clinical experience including assessment skills, emergency management skills, clinical problem solving and understanding of chronic disease management.
  • Knowledge and application of primary health care principles and programs.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Understanding and commitment to cultural safety and Indigenous health issues.
