Description :

The Audio Lead overseas all production audio elements onsite. Reporting to the Production Lead, you will collaborate to ensure all elements are installed, executed, operated, maintained, and struck in line with the established creative intent, HQ Production plan, schedule, and budget. This is a dynamic role that requires proficiency in entertainment event audio systems and equipment.

COMMITMENT DURING SEASON:

  • Must be prepared to work each day of the Load-in, Install, Run-of-Show, Strike and Load-out, including weekends.
  • This includes the holiday season: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day.
  • Work hours may vary depending on site needs and operating hours.
  • Travel may be required.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

  • Execute all production audio elements in line with the established creative intent and HQ Production plan.
  • Review audio system plans, speaker layouts, cable pathways, control/playback elements and overall technical requirements of show audio equipment.
  • Identify and work with HQ Production team on any gaps in design or installation planning.
  • Monitor and report overall project status regarding schedules, budgets, scope, regular updates, and meetings; adjust as needed onsite to keep on time and on budget.
  • Ensure all installations have been tested and adjusted to support the design intent and communicate any onsite production audio changes to the HQ Production team and corresponding departments; maintain this intent throughout the entire production run.
  • Communicate and coordinate with onsite vendors as needed.
  • Inventory onsite production audio assets and maintain records of any damage.
  • Confirm all audio components are connected correctly and working properly at all times, which includes testing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving as required.
  • Document as-installed adjustments to the design and create documentation where none exists.
  • Operate audio equipment, including front-of-house mixing, microphones, and background playback systems on a daily basis.
  • Oversee the strike of all audio assets and ensure items are packed and inventoried per the plan and direction of the HQ Production team.
  • Ensure all suppliers and crew follow site safety regulations and protocols.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

  • Experience in: events & entertainment, theater & stage shows, art exhibit installations, and/or trade shows & conventions.
  • Experience in inventory management.
  • Advanced knowledge of audio systems and equipment.
  • A strong ear for sound variants and a technical aptitude.
  • Ability to generate reports, budgets, and schedules.
  • Proficient in: Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Smartsheets, and Slack.
  • Strong communicator and leader.
  • Self-driven.
  • Understanding of event installation methodologies: tools, equipment, materials, and processes.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Our venues span over 100,000 square feet.
  • Must be able to frequently walk and stand for long durations.
  • Enchant is an outdoor event, and subject to local winter weather.
